I’m so excited to be doing our first fall post! Fall is my favorite season. I love the clothes, the weather, the food and the holidays. I love fall clothes because I feel like you have more options than you do in any other season. I’m transitioning my favorite off-the-shoulder trend into fall with this tan, fold-over, chunky knit sweater from Red Dress Boutique. I paired it with black fleece lined leggings, a pair of brown ankle boots with a gold zipper from Belk, and a brown and gold pineapple watch from Francesca’s.

Look for Claire’s post to go up Monday – she’s sick with a cold.

Also, we’re so excited to be selected to serve on the Student Advisory Board for 1,000 Dreams fund!  For information on their Fall Scholarship, visit:  1,000DreamsFund.org

casualg1.jpgWe’re changing our blog a little.  Instead of having a “theme” for our style posts, we’re going to be blogging about trends and styles we’re each interested in at the moment. Today I’m focusing on three of my favorite trends: off-the-shoulder, embroidery and espadrilles. I feature off-the-shoulder tops and dresses quite a bit, and I would definitely say that that is my most worn trend this summer. Most of the blouses and dresses I own now are off-the shoulder. This black and white embroidered blouse is from Francesca’s, and I love the embroidered detail and the lace neckline. I paired the top with high waisted button up denim shorts (also from Francesca’s), and a pair of black lace up espadrilles from Red Dress Boutique. Espadrilles are one of my favorite types of shoes this summer, because they’re so cute and unique, and they come in all colors and can go with anything.casualg2casualg77casualg1
